520			_aCon gran concurrencia de académicos extranjeros, se desarrolló el Congreso Internacional de Ciencia Política, que en esta ocasión tuvo como tema central "Fuerzas Armadas y Sociedad: Nuevos Desafíos y Entornos". La actividad estuvo patrocinada por la International Political Science Association (IPSA), y por primera vez Chile oficiaba de sede. Entre los días 25 y 28 de junio se llevaron a cabo mesas redondas y paneles de discusión sobre las principales y diversas temáticas relativas al área de la seguridad y defensa, tanto nacional, regional como mundial, las cuales sirvieron de instancias en las que los distintos expositores pudieron compartir sus puntos de vistas y análisis con los asistentes y académicos.
